Faith is simply trusting in God and believing Him when He says He has either done something for us or will do it, then trust Him to keep His word.

What does it mean to trust? In our daily living, we do entrust our work and lives to others. For example, mothers trust their precious babies to the care of baby sitters and feel no anxiety. We trust our health and our lives, without a thought of fear to cooks and taxi drivers. They could, if they chose to do so, or if they are not careful, plunge us into misery or death in a moment. And yet, we continue to trust them. And it seems to be the most natural thing to do.

What about our trust in God? Where is our faith in Him? Is it possible that we can trust human beings who are weak and cannot trust our God who is almighty and great?

Today's Gospel reveals to us the beauty of God's love and care for us. He will never let us down. He said, "Ask and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." For those who believe in Him, He will give the gift of His Holy Spirit and work wonders among them.

Come Holy Spirit, we need You to strengthen our faith.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
