"¡KI know him because I have come from him and it was he who sent me."

By this Jesus declared his knowledge of God and that both his origin and mission were from God. Although the Jews claimed that they knew him, they only knew he came from Nazareth. In a deeper sense, they did not know him at all. As followers of Jesus, how much do I really know Him? Do I know Jesus personally and have experienced Him concretely in my life? Am I like the Jews who knew Him only a little?

Let us be challenged by today's Gospel reading to reflect on our relationship with Jesus. Let us take time to examine on Jesus' values and my personal values. If they are in congruence, we may run the risk of what Wisdom 2:12-22 states - 'believing and living the values in contrast to those of the Gospel means being misled, feeling hopeless and aimless in life; thus becoming 'the blind walking on earth.'

Let us during this Lenten season accept the challenge to examine our relationship with Jesus.

"Lord, help me to be drawn closer to You this Lenten season."

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation between persons and people may be understood and that the Church through her testimony, may spread Christ's love, the source of new humanity.
