In the Letters of St Paul, the phrase "the body of Christ" again and again stands for the Church; it does so, we see, in 1 Corinthians 12:1-31. Paul has just been rebuking those, who with their divisions and their class distinctions, divide the Church; so this may mean that anyone who eats and drinks unworthily has never realized that the whole Church is the body of Christ and is at variance with his brother. Everyone in whose heart there is hatred, bitterness and contempt against another person, eats and drinks unworthily. If he comes to the table of our Lord. The feeding of the five thousand in the Gospel tells us many things. Jesus was concerned that men were hungry. It would be most interesting to work out how much time Jesus spent, not talking, but easing men's pain and satisfying their hunger. He still needs the service of men's hands. The mother who has spent a lifetime cooking meals for a hungry family; the nurse, the doctor, the friend, relation or parent, who has sacrificed life and time to ease another's pain.
Lord, grant us the grace that our deeds may speak louder than our words and that we may live our lives in solidarity with the others.

Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others.
