When we reflect on all the great and beautiful things God has done for the world and for what God has done for each of us, there can be only one acceptable response. We acknowledge the greatness of our wonderful God and strive to live according to His laws and teachings. God saves, heals, blesses, and sustains us always.

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the Spirit. The Spirit sets us free from fear and slavery to anything. It makes us God's adopted children, enabling us to cry, 'Abba! Father!' and feel it in our hearts and souls. We have been promised that we are co-heirs with Christ; whatever he has, we will have too. How can we ever be afraid?

Of course, we will want to share this with the whole world. Jesus sent his followers out to make disciples of all nations, sharing everything he had taught them. But we must be good disciples first. If we go forth into the world to proclaim the gospel out of selfish or impure motives, we will do great harm to people. If we are indeed God's adopted children, there can be only one motivation: compassionate love. When we share God's merciful love with others and do not expect anything in return, we have given them a great treasure. Let this be the way we pass each day.

Lord, make me a good disciple.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
