The people of Israel gave up waiting for Moses to bring them God's message and decided to create their own god instead. While much may be said about their unfaithfulness, focus instead on how Moses, though just a single person, made such a difference in his community that the people lost sight of God in his absence. It is amplified in the parables of the mustard seed and the yeast. Though the smallest of seeds, the mustard seed grows into the biggest of shrubs, giving shelter to the birds. The little yeast in the large amount of flour makes a big difference in the taste and texture of the bread.

Our formative moments in life occur when we feel small and insignificant - that our efforts and existence barely leave a mark. But the truth is: our lives have meaning beyond what we see. When we allow God to work through us, our ordinary actions can lead to extraordinary things. We become agents of change, not by our own strength, but through His grace and guidance. Our choices either draw us closer to God, or lead us away from life. God invites us to choose life, and in so doing, allow Him to work through us in ways we may never fully understand to transform the world.

We matter - not because we are perfect or powerful, but because we allow Him to make us vessels of light in the darkness of the world.

Lord, help me not to be afraid of my smallness in Your mighty love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day jul be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
FOR FORMATION IN DISCERNMENT.
Let us pray that we might again learn how to discern, to know how to choose paths of life and reject everything that leads us away from Christ and the Gospel.
