The theme today: God never tires of us. He keeps inviting us to an abundant life, even when we face difficulties. Isaiah tells of a feast on Mount Zion. This consoling prophecy is fulfilled in Christ. For me, the Eucharist is the foretaste of that heavenly banquet. From mountain to valley, the Lord is my shepherd. This is not a promise of an easy path, but of a divine presence beside me in the darkness. For me, the sacraments make this presence tangible. When I go to Confession, I feel the rod and staff prodding me back. I find an oasis in the Eucharist, a safe place where my anxiety is put in its proper place. My cup overflows, not because life is perfect, but because the grace received is excessive. St Paul knows how to be poor and how to be rich; he has experienced a full stomach and an empty one. His secret, as he says, is God Who gives him strength. When my own resources run bare, I pray for St Paul's confidence. Finally, Jesus' parable reminds me that the King invites everyone, bad and good alike. I am that invited guest. But I must be clothed with a wedding garment, which means sanctifying grace which I had received at Baptism. To participate in the banquet while clutching unrepented sins is to show up without the garment.

Lord, You have prepared a feast for us on the hill of Golgotha. You are my Shepherd in every valley. Clothe me in Your mercy, and let me take my place at Your table.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer you everything I do this day. I offer you my prayers, thoughts, words, joys and sufferings in union with the Eucharistic sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit who guided and empowered Jesus be my guide and strength so that I can be a witness to your love. Amen.
