在討論恩寵和預定的問題時，不可避免地需要返回聖經詮釋的探索。
傳統神學常會引申以下歐瑟亞先知（歐十三9）的經文，來說明「恩由天賜、咎由自取」的道理。
小弟發現思高版聖經，與一般引述的版本不符。於是嘗試將家中各個聖經版本的譯文對照一下，得出如下的結果。
我們當然不能從單單一節聖經，證明出某項教義是否符合聖經。但不知這一節聖經，應該如何翻譯和理解呢？

思高版：「以色列！我要摧毀你，有誰能援助你？」
牧靈聖經：「以色列，你已被摧毀，除了我，有誰能幫助你？」
基督教和合本：「以色列啊，你與我反對，就是反對幫助你的，自取敗壞。」
Nova Vulgata：「Perdo te, Israel; quis est auxiliator tuus?」(“Perdo te – lege cum Syr “sihattika”; TM “perdidit te”; “Quis”- lege cum Gr et Syr “mi”; TM “quia in me”)
Vulgata：「perditio tua Israhel tantummodo in me auxilium tuum」
Revised Standard Version：「I will destroy you, O Israel; who can help you?」
Douay-Rheims：「Destruction is thy own, O Israel: thy help is only in me.」
Knox：「Alas, Israel, undone! Who but I can aid thee?」
Hebrew Bible (Koren Publishers Translation)：「O Yisra’el thou hast destroyed thyself; for thou art against me, against thy help.」
Septuagint (Brenton Translation, Osee xiii, 9)：「O Israel, who will aid thee in thy destruction?」
New Jerusalem Bible：「Israel, you have destroyed yourself | though in me lies your help.」
Jerusalem Bible：「I mean to destroy you, Israel; who can come to your help?」
King James Version：「O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself, but in me is thine help.」
New American Bible：「Your destruction, O Israel! Who is there to help you?」
Good News Bible (Today’s English Version)：「I will destroy you, people of Israel! Then who can help you?」
上述的次序，純粹是小弟個人的preference。不知當大家發現聖經譯文的歧義時，會較為「信任」哪一版本呢？
