Jesus fixes the eyes of love and compassion on the seekers after truth.
The face of Jesus has challenged painters, poets, lovers. Luke's words
paint their own picture. Jesus offers a recipe for happiness, broad
hints of the joys of the kingdom. Paul applies the gospel to daily life,
indicating opportunities and warning of obstacles along the road. Jesus
offers freedom from the petty and demeaning tyrannies of self-seeking.
For Paul the Christian's task is to develop and bring up to its
perfection the image of God that we are. Only through a disciplined and
purposeful life can we realise that 'there is only Christ: He is everything
and He is in everything.
Lord, let me always reflect Your image in me.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings.
Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage
discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
