The Word of God speaks deeply today to who we are by virtue of our life in Christ. Each of us, as a baptised Christian is a son or daughter of God. In Christ, a new relationship with our God has been realized for our God is now 'Abba'. Through Christ, we are bonded to our Father in a relationship of deep love and trust and closeness. Likewise, in Christ we are bonded in a new relationship with each other. 'All are one in Christ Jesus'. The bond of life shared among us is deeper than any human familial bond, stronger than any human distinction, whether ethnic, social or sexual. In Christ, a new dimension of life is experienced, for now we are 'clothed' with Him and we have become a new person. The challenge before us is to believe who we are, to believe in what God has made us - both as individuals and as a community. For truly blest are those who hear and believe the Word of God.

Lord, help us to hear Your Word and live it in our lives.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
