We must never let ourselves forget that Jesus' suffering and dying and rising was a manifestation of God's tremendous love for every single one of us, saint and sinner alike. Many people have a certain fear of God and His anger; but today's Gospel assures us that Jesus did not come to condemn the world in spite of wickedness everywhere. He came to bring salvation, to bring life. And no one who believes in the Son, that is, who gives their whole being to Jesus' Way can be condemned. Those who refuse to believe, that is, those who choose to go their own selfish way, turning their back on the Way of truth, love, compassion, forgiveness and sharing put themselves beyond the love of God. Oh yes, God still loves them but they have said a clear 'No' and chosen their own way to darkness. May that never happen to me.
Grant, O Lord, that everything we say and do may be guided by what You teach us.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
