We will find great peace at the end of our lives if we have truly devoted ourselves to trying to live our lives in the way that Jesus taught us to live. Even in our ordinary humdrum existence we make decisions all the time to choose what is right or wrong. Human beings are God's greatest act of creation and He has given them free will. By following the teachings of Jesus we choose the right way to do things. At the end of our lives no matter how long or short they are, we will find great peace and comfort if we have always tried to act as Jesus taught us.

Throughout our lives, if we make an effort to get to know the teachings of Jesus and to follow His example, we become really reassured about God. We know in our inner beings that God is very loving and will always listen to us if we try to follow His teachings. So just like Jesus and St Paul, as we approach the end of our lives, if we have learned to trust God completely, then all will be well and we shall be with a great friend for all eternity.

Lord, You are our friend. Draw us to trust You more each day.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
