That children in difficulty and those who devote themselves to their care, may find in Mary, Mother of life, constant support and help.

The Holy Father wants us to entrust to Mary's motherly intercession the lives of all the young who are victims of the absurd violence that is being perpetrated in various countries, especially in Palestine. In about 50 countries children live in the midst of conflicts or post-conflict situations. They are victims of forced recruitment and of abuses of all kinds.
They cannot go to schools. Furthermore, they are separated from their parents and are subjected to physical and psychological violence. The international community is asked to increase its efforts to protect and rehabilitate all who live in these tragic conditions. Attacks against human life are increasing unabatedly and the most vulnerable are children whose lives must be defended for the sake of the future.
Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Life, the Holy Father prays that the international community will increase its efforts in protecting and rehabilitating all who live in these tragic conditions. We also join in prayer for these children that they may be able to grow up far from the scourge of war and from every form of violence and for those who devote themselves unreservedly to care for and help them.
