Christ is the only way to true happiness. The question is asked: What must we do? The answer: accept Christ repent of anything that is not found in Christ. As Christians we are called to live the life of Christ in God.

In the Gospel, Mary meets the Risen Christ in the garden and thinks him to be the gardener. She recognises Him when He calls her by her name. Very often we do not recognise Christ when He comes to us. We expect Him to be what we think He ought to be. The Christian message remains: once you did this to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me. We must be prepared to meet Christ as He chooses to come to us.

All of us are children of the Father. He calls each one by his or her own name. All of us share in the dignity of the children of God. Each of us therefore has a God-given right to be treated as such, each of us has a right to be called by our own name and not simply included in some great mass of people. Each has the right to be taken seriously. Our repentance is an acceptance of and a clinging to God as our Father.

Lord, You are our happiness. Fill us with Your love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
