"... because of his compassion God saved us." Paul wrote to Titus on this truth. He explained the way of God. It is "...by means of the cleansing water of rebirth and by renewing us with the Holy Spirit poured over us through Jesus Christ."

This cleansing power is revealed in the Cure of the Ten Lepers. Lepers were outcasts of human society, rejected and marginalized. With compassion, Jesus cured them.

A deeper reflection into this miracle story reveals to us that it is only faith that can bring about salvation. The Samaritan recognized Jesus, believed in Him and gave thanks. "Your faith has saved you," Jesus responded to him because God's salvation is for everyone. Jesus also restored the sick to wholeness and helped integrate them into society.

We need to be able to 'see' God at work in our daily life through Jesus and believe in Him. The ability to enter into the 'insight' on how God acts in our life and others' lives is necessary for discipleship. Let us not allow other forces to prevent us from recognizing His presence.

Lord, help us to see You everyday in our lives so that we may respond to Your promptings through the Holy Spirit.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Christian men and women, aware of the vocation which is theirs in the Church, may answer generously to God's call to seek holiness in the midst of their lives.
