For our prayer today we could hardly do better than read slowly through the First Reading, which is the opening of the Letter to the Ephesians. It is a beautiful prayer. It is a prayer of thanks to God for all his blessings to us. Let me think of all the blessings I have received and continue to receive. It reminds us that each one of us has been specially chosen by God from all eternity.
We have been chosen to live our lives "through love in his presence" - a lovely phrase summing up perfectly what it means to be a follower of Jesus. And we have been blessed with the precious insights into the meaning and purpose of our life through our knowing Jesus and His teaching. It is both a privilege but also a great responsibility. To whom more has been given, from them more is expected.
Thank You, Father, for giving me the gift of Jesus in my life.

DAILY OFFERING

Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
