Reflecting on the mystical experience of the three disciples at the Transfiguration scene will give us an enriching experience of how the way of glory is the way of the Cross. It gives us a sense of what it is like to fulfil the Heavenly Father's will as experienced by Jesus. One may even have a foretaste of what heaven is like for those who 'listen' to the voice of God and respond to it accordingly.

We would wonder how Jesus really felt at that moment of glorification particularly at the point when God's voice was heard, "This is my Son, the beloved, he enjoys my favour. Listen to him." His experience will assure us that if we remain true disciples of Jesus, we will also enjoy the same experience and inherit the kingdom prepared for us since the foundation of the world.

This is what Prophet Daniel saw in the first reading, "...men of all peoples, nations, languages become his servants. His sovereignty is an eternal one which shall never pass away, nor will his empire ever be destroyed."

Let this meditation help us relive our special prayer experiences during which the presence of God was felt in a special and unusual way; and how such experiences had a great impact on our life that we drew strength and courage from them whenever we faced difficulties.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Son of God and for Your promise of eternal life with You.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
