Today, the Lord Jesus "celebrates" the re-creation of God's people. We become His sacrament, as He breathes on us His Spirit. His mission becomes ours and His work is now in our hands. The baton of the Word-made-flesh has been passed on to us who are now called to reveal the Word through our own flesh. The world will come to know and believe in the God who is love and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit flows from the resurrected Jesus as a source of Eternal life, promised and fulfilled. (Jn. 10:10).

This is the hour of Jesus' glory and exaltation as expressed in His priestly prayer. (Jn. 17). The divine gift of peace, an expression of the divine indwelling is a guarantee of the continued presence of the Risen Lord among the believing community, who pass from "fear" to joy and from despair to hope and faith.

The first disciples were by no means exemplary nor was their situation to be envied. Faith was almost forced upon them. It was much like a leap in the dark, to believe in the Risen Lord standing before them inviting them to place their trust in Him. We too need to make that leap of faith.

Lord, I believe. You have the words of eternal life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
