To live a Christian life is to live a life of paradoxes where 'the first will be the last and the last the first,' and one has to practically lose everything in order to find the All. Can such a life then be lived at the level of the mind where everything has to be justified by a logical rationale? No! If we do, we in no time find ourselves in the dead doldrums, not a single step further from where we start. The call of the Christian is a call to live life as a mystery accepted in faith. It is a call to the joy of discovery of the One who was with us from the beginning of time and His wonderful, gratuitous gift of mercy and love poured out to us, over and over again in all events of our daily life. We have only to recognize its many and varied manifestations paradoxical as they may be.

Lord, increase our faith so that we can begin to understand and see in our hearts the many manifestations of Your constant love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
