St Paul admits that at one time he was a blind guide of blind men. He then recognized that it was only by the grace of God that his blindness was removed and he was given faith in Christ Jesus. Once filled with faith, his zeal for helping others to come to Christ Jesus or to deepen it was almost an obession.
Likewise, as Christians we too have the responsibility of bringing others to Jesus. Jesus is our Lord and Master and He has come to show us the way to God by His word and example. Quite often we do not pay attention to His words and actions but are busy looking for the speck of dust in other people's eyes, disregarding the log in our own. Jesus wants us to cultivate the spirit of humility in our relationship with one another. Therefore, whenever we face a problem in personal relationships, the very first thing we must do is pray for guidance and help. We need to see and believe that it is God upon whom we must depend; and the source of clear vision is God Himself. Yes, in answer to prayer, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be granted to us as it was to St Paul.
Lord, thank You for gently unveiling areas of our lives that need to be corrected. Open our eyes to see good in everyone and not to be judgemental. Amen.
