How To Pray With Shalom

Today we have a passage summarising what Jesus was doing for the people. Whenever Jesus appears anywhere, there are large crowds waiting for Him. People come from long distances to see Him. It indicates the tremendous hunger of the people to be healed and made whole by Jesus. The people recognise Him immediately and come from everywhere bringing along those in need of healing. Jesus, in turn, was visiting towns and villages. The sick, strong in their faith, only asked to be allowed just to touch the edges of His outer garment and everyone who touched Him was cured. Let us pray that we, too, may experience Christ's healing touch in our lives, both in mind and body. Let us express our gratitude to those who bring healing into our lives, who touch us with their love and compassion. And may our influence on others in our families, at work and elsewhere have a truly healing effect.

Jesus, heal me as You healed so many when You were in Galilee.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the international community may be ever more aware of the urgent duty to bring an end to the trafficking in human beings.
