"Grace, mercy and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ." What a beautiful Christian salutation! Paul announces to man the life Christ has in Himself, and of which He is the source. We can use this triple benediction as a pattern of our Christian faith received at baptism.

This same life is promised to others in union with Christ, and it is the work of the Christian to realize this promise. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers into the harvest. The labourers are few: "Go therefore, teach all nations" (Lk. 10:2).

Our Christian faith is a call to bear witness to Jesus by fearlessly proclaiming the Good News. Every baptized Christian is sent to bring the whole world to the knowledge and love of God. We can do this by our prayers, sacrifices, good works and living the Church's mission in every corner of the globe. God's mighty power and grace will not be missing as long as we trust Him completely. His strong arm will sustain us when our actions are accompanied by fidelity and charity.

Lord, we thank You for the grace of baptism, for Your confidence in us, as we look forward to Your promise of Your Kingdom of unity, justice and love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
