On this feast day, our Holy Mother Church is offering us a special grace and opportunity to show our love for the Churches around the world, also to use this occasion to symbolize the unity of the whole Church. Indeed, using Prophet Ezekiel's words: streams of water are coming from the Temple, bringing life to all wherever it flows. Chapels, Churches, Cathedrals and Basilicas are God's dwelling places that reveal truth, give life and point out directions. Although we all have our own fond prayer spot or favourite Churches, rarely do, we give our appreciation and admiration to the worship spaces publicly.

Jesus shows His strong emotions and uses powerful words in the Gospel to demand that we honour His Father's house, the Sacred Space. In the manifestation of His anger and disgust, He discloses His authority. He also points at Himself, the Sanctuary, and predicts His death and Resurrection. The Jews and His disciples did not understand Him until He rose from the dead; they then believed Him.

Two thousand years later, do we understand and believe this Mystery that Jesus Himself is the Sanctuary, the foundation and the cornerstone of our Church" Do we realize that the Lord is ever present Body and Spirit in these holy places"
