Today as we await at the Lord's tomb, we recall and meditate on His suffering and Death. His death on the Cross has brought about the act of redemption and salvation for all who believe in Him. In this quiet and solemn waiting for the celebration of the Lord's resurrection, we remain in the Spirit of hope and peace in our hearts.

This silent waiting leads us to the celebration during this night - The Easter Vigil as in Exodus 12:42. The first part of the vigil, we are reminded of the need to keep vigilant in having our lamps lit so as to be awake when the Lord arrives. This also leads us through the journey towards light followed by the awareness and gratitude for all the wonderful deeds of the Lord.

The Liturgy of Baptism for the new members of the Church bears witness to a community who is evangelizing and as all faithful renew their baptism promises tonight.

This is followed by the celebration of the Eucharist which is the culmination of the whole journey of the Paschal Mystery (Passion, Death and Resurrection) in the Resurrection of Jesus, our Lord. We have indeed become the Easter people who bring peace, joy and hope to all.

Lord, help us enter into the Paschal Mystery that reminds us of Your incarnation, Passion, Death and Resurrection so as to become Easter people.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That allowing himself to be enlightened and guided by the Holy Spirit, every Christian may answer enthusiastically and faithfully to the universal call to sanctity.
