We are still basking in the glow of Easter joy. It has been the hope of the world, cherished by human hearts from the beginning of history, that found definitive fulfillment in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Psalm 16:8-11 cited by Peter in his Pentecostal sermon, (Acts 2:25-28) is an immortal expression of this great hope we all have in overcoming difficulties in life.

At times we learn how deep, how great and how varied are the sufferings of humankind. The greatest sufferings have always been those inflicted by human beings on their fellow humans. Still, in the face of every ordeal, however bitter, those who remained open to the mystery of life have always understood that the love that created the world will never be found wanting. It will bring deliverance to every sufferer; nay more, it will bring him or her finally to the fullness of joy.

This joy of deliverance is a call to share life with others and strengthen the bond of fellowship. This joy is also an encounter with the divine. This is the reason why we in joy turn towards the source of joy and worship Him. This the women did and they no longer feared but counted themselves as chosen ministers of His word - to announce deliverance and victory.

Lord, You are the source of joy. Help me to share the joy of Your love with others, especially with those who feel insecure or neglected.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
