To act in conformity with the Will of God is to bear much spiritual fruit which in turn indicates that God's will is being done. Thus in the heated controversy concerning the need to be circumcised upheld by staunch supporters of the Law of Moses, Paul's trump card was to illustrate how Gentiles, without circumcision, had shown in their changed lives after baptism, the fruits of the Spirit. This indicated God's will for the Gentiles.

The Word (or Son) of God, sent by the Father, became Man to do the will of the Father in His plan of salvation for all humankind; and by His teaching Jesus reinforced the fact that those who do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of heaven. Even those who may have no knowledge of Christ, but who do the will of God as indicated by the positive values in their religion, implicitly accept the Word of God "without whom they can do nothing". In like manner those who live in accordance with the values set forth by Jesus can be said to "remain in the Vine", carefully tended by the gardener who is the Father.

O loving Father You will that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. May we receive the grace to do Your holy will and respond to the grace Your Son gained for us.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That allowing himself to be enlightened and guided by the Holy Spirit, every Christian may answer enthusiastically and faithfully to the universal call to sanctity.
