Today we find ourselves once again in "Ordinary Time." Last February 21st we received ashes on our foreheads to mark the beginning of the Lenten Season and the beginning of our 40-day long journey through the penitential season. Then, with palm branches in our hands, we entered into the most sacred time of the year-Holy Week - the time when we relived the Paschal Mystery. With Easter Sunday we began yet another special season of the year lasting seven weeks, during which time we celebrated and grew in our understanding of the central mystery of our faith - the Resurrection of the Lord. Having just celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the first disciples, we wake today to find ourselves back in ordinary time, charged with the mission of living out the mysteries we have been celebrating. Having been baptized into the life of the Holy Spirit, we are now sent back into our ordinary lives, into the ordinary places where we live and where we work, not only to proclaim the Good News, but rather BE the Good News for all those that we meet. The challenge is not simple to be hearers of the Word we have been hearing throughout the past "Special Time," but now to be doers as well, impelled and empowered by the Spirit we have received.

Lord, help us to be the doers of Your Word.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That allowing himself to be enlightened and guided by the Holy Spirit, every Christian may answer enthusiastically and faithfully to the universal call to sanctity.
