The call to holiness is a call towards a more intimate life with God. This call is personally seen and realized in Jesus Christ as He reveals His Father's love to us. This gradual growth in holiness moves from the external guides to one that is filled with the love of God. This growth is a blessing of God.

This call to holiness is not a question of writing our name in the books of history, but it's a case of giving simple help to the people we meet daily, especially in feeding the hungry and cheering the sick. These are acts anyone can do and open the way to honour the simple and marginalized people. The help given is natural, instinctive and uncalculating. It is seen in the giving of a loving heart to the needy and the poor. This is a spontaneous way of delighting God our Father, by helping His children - our neighbours. This is holiness. When we learn this type of uncalculating generosity, we too will experience the compassion of Jesus Christ.

God, help me to develop a generous and loving heart. Let me see You in everyone I meet. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the mentally handicapped may not be marginalized, but respected and lovingly helped to live in a way worthy of their physical and social conditions.
