The two central and unique beliefs of the Christian Way are that in one God there are three Persons and that the Second Person, the Son, became incarnate and shared our human existence in its totality. Today we celebrate the first of these - in the one God there are three Persons. We do not try (because we cannot) to penetrate the total meaning of this belief. But, in our reading of the Scriptures, we can see our God working in different and distinctive ways. As Father, we see our God as the Creator and Ultimate Source of all that is and the Conservator who keeps our world and our universe in being. In the Son, we see God communicating his inner self to us. He does this by totally assuming our human nature and, in his living out of this humanity, we are able to get a glimpse of the nature and the will of our God for our lives. The Incarnate Son is the Word of God. Through him God communicates to us in a language we can understand. And, after his return to his Father, God stays with us in his Spirit, the Spirit which indwells and guides us on the Way of Jesus. We have so much to be thankful for. How inscrutable are the way of our God!

Let all we say and do be done in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Christians may use literature, art and the mass-media to greater advantage in order to favour a culture which defends and promotes the values of the human person.
