"This is how you are to pray¡K" To pray in the spirit of "Our Father".

The word of God is so powerful and effective that it always brings to completion God's will. This word when received with faith permeates our heart in order to change our life. The very special time when we receive an answer to the word of God is prayer.

In today's Gospel Jesus not only teaches us the words we should say during our prayer but, even more, He teaches us the way of a good prayer.

To pray in accordance to Jesus' teaching means most of all to stand with deep faith in the presence of God - our merciful Father who knows our needs and who is ready to help us.

The next condition of a good prayer is to submit ourselves completely to God's will. Obedience to the will of God enables us to build God's kingdom, to resist temptation and to receive God's graces.

Jesus also reminds us that our prayer is in vain unless we forgive those who sinned against us.

"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; those whose spirit is crushed He will save."

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
