Hardly anyone can deny that peace is what every person longs for. The more we are caught up in finding solutions to problems we encounter daily in life, the greater is our hunger for peace - the inner peace of mind and heart that genuinely provides a sense of security and well-being.
We see how people resort to different pursuits for peace. Yet the best of their ways cannot compare with the peace which Christ gives. It is a peace which is qualitatively far superior because it is given not by humankind but by God Himself. It is a peace that, despite turmoil around us, can secure the inner calm that Christ provides. It is a peace that keeps us safe and confident of His presence in and around us. It is truly a peace of higher and deeper dimension. Praise the Father that in His love and generosity He invites each of us to experience such peace.
Lord Jesus, help us to know that there is a vast difference between human-given peace and God-given peace. Help us also to realize that the peace that we seek can only be found in You and You alone.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
