The words of a leper that were said to Jesus are very meaningful. "Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean."

"Lord, if you wish" - that means: Lord, I accept my sickness, my suffering and my rejection from society. Lord, I accept the will of God and I accept whatever You will do with me. I am open to receiving Your healing power but I will also carry with humility the burden of my leprosy. "Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean."

It is a great miracle to be healed by God but it is even more important to accept totally the will of God. May we learn from the leper of today's Gospel how to accept our sufferings, failures, weaknesses and defeats in order to be open to the power of God which brings healing and strength.

Father,
¡@¡@ I abandon myself into your hands;
¡@¡@ do with me what you will.
¡@¡@ Whatever you may do, I thank you:
¡@¡@ I am ready for all, I accept all.
¡@¡@ Let only your will be done in me,
¡@¡@ and in all your creatures.
¡@¡@ I wish no more than this, O Lord.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
