Moving mountains is no big problem nowadays! There are bigger problems than mountains at personal level. What is this faith that can move mountains? (Mt. 17:20) It is clearly faith, not only in the existence of God or even the power of God; but as Jesus saw it, faith in God as the loving and forgiving Father. (see Mt. 17:5 ...this is my son, the Beloved he enjoys my favour) Faith is the particular kind of consciousness, the consciousness of God, or the divine, as loving and caring toward us. This faith includes 'trust'. Modern day faith healers resort to blame when a healing as expected does not take place. They make the person feel it is his/her fault; he/she is guilty of not having enough faith to be healed. This makes the person's state twice as bad as it was before. While the epileptic's father kneels before him in complete trust, Jesus criticises the discples' "little faith".

Their faith is like that of present day christians who are more wonder-struck by sensational news of 'bleeding statues' and 'weeping pictures'. Our faith needs to be purified: to believe that God will do what is best for us; even if that is not what we want. True faith includes praying that God's will be done, which means a "letting go and a letting be." How can we become 'healers' to one another?

Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
