Today's Psalm proclaims that the Lord is faithful in all his words and holy in all his works. We are created in the image and likeness of God. As recalled in Monday's Reflection, Adam lost the likeness of God through his sin but God did not repent of having created us, and so he is still faithful to the word by which he created us in his image. It is now our mission in life, with the grace of Christ and in union with him, to restore the likeness of God in our souls.

Many words in the bible, especially in the Psalms teach us different aspects of what the likeness of God should be. From today's Psalm we might take to heart the qualities of faithfulness and holiness. The extract from the Letter to the Ephesians continues yesterday's reading on the topic of "family ethics". Fidelity in marriage and in every aspect of family life means doing the will of God with all our hearts, as Paul encourages us. It is God's will, his eternal and loving desire, that we should grow more and more into his likeness, becoming more Christlike in our faithfulness and holiness.

Father in Heaven, may all our thoughts, words and actions give You glory, as we imitate Your faithfulness and holiness and become more Christlike each day.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
