Often we can be confused about what is good and what is bad, what is evil and what is just. There are times when we choose something that seemingly is good for us, but later turns out to be bad for us whereas there are times some "unlucky things" happen to us which later turn out to be so good for us. From this daily experience, we perhaps could say that to determine what is good or bad to us is actually not in our hands, or is even beyond our understanding and dependent on another. Only God can truly judge good and bad, just and evil, true and untrue, because He is the way, the truth and the light and he knows what is in each man's heart. The only way for us humans to learn how to discern what is good and bad is to see everything through the eyes of God, otherwise we will always be confused and obscured by the complexity of social, moral, economic and political issues which we face each day.
Lord, open our eyes to see what is really good and bad and give us the courage to cast out the bad and to nurture the good.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
