In various ways, Jesus taught us the wisdom and necessity of putting our words into action. In general, it is not sufficient to say "Lord, Lord" and not live out the consequences of calling upon God's name in this way. We cannot separate our faith and our lives. The wisdom of our Catholic faith demands a strong Catholic morality. The integration of faith and life, of belief and morality, comes quite naturally on a basic level when we are reared as Catholic children in a good Catholic family. To carry the integration of faith and life to a higher level usually required some deeper spiritual formation. For most ordinary Catholics this formation is achieved through fidelity to daily prayer and the frequent reception of the sacraments. However, while this ordinary way of being a good and fervent Catholic has been, and still is, nourished for older generations quite effectively through the parish, some Church leaders feel that nowadays there are many younger people who need the deeper formation which is provided by smaller communities, especially those with a specific spirituality - a spirituality that more consciously and effectively helps them towards a greater integration of faith and life.
Heavenly Father, may our prayer lead us to greater fidelity in our life and guide our footsteps in the ways of holiness.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
