We wonder if God hears our pleas. We wonder if it is worth the while to talk to God about what our desire is and what God desires of us. Sometimes we know that we don't really have much of a desire that is truly from the deep of our being, so we are lost for words to express what we truly want. Then, too, there are people who do not encourage us to change and we are inclined to look for comforting support from men rather than receiving it from God. Our sensibilities are blunt, although our bodies are fully abled. We wonder if we would recognise God even if we brushed shoulders with him.
The blind man of Jericho is quite different. In his great faith in pleading to the son of David, he shows us what our God is like. He is a God who asks us, 'What can I do for you?'
Lord Jesus, intercede for us in the presence of the Father.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
