"They will not be convinced even if someone should rise from the dead." When Jesus rose from the dead, he did not appear to everyone, but only to those who had faith him, for only they had the eyes of faith to see their risen Lord. The Gospels indicate that their faith may have been somewhat fragile and even tinged by doubt. But when Jesus appeared to them, he enabled them to enter the divine realm of the light of the resurrection and so changed their lives forever.

We have not seen the risen Lord with our bodily eyes, but, for those who are willing to see, there are many signs of Jesus' resurrection in our world of faith. Even in our own day, Martyrs continue to witness to Jesus' resurrection, whether by death or by their life-long commitment to the service of the faith and the promotion of justice, their works of love, joy and truth. Every Catholic Church, convent, monastery, school, hospital and other institution is a sign and an affirmation that Jesus has risen from the dead.

Lord, let the life of every Christian be a true and compelling sign of your resurrection. May our faults and failings not obscure the truth of all these signs.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
