The Resurrection is a reality written into our life - for we are a people of hope, no matter what happens to us here and now! "If the Cross is a standing statement of what we do to one another and to ourselves - the Resurrection is the standing statement of what God does to us in return."(Richard Rohr). Today is a feast of love - a love that overflows into our lives from our Father in heaven! The 'Kingdom has come!'; It is accomplished - it does not matter if we are in the midst of the worst of trials. God has overcome it all for us - like John, the disciple, we have only to look and believe: that everything is all right in our lives. Our faith is not just based on the empty tomb - none of the disciples nor Mary Magdalene ever saw the Resurrection - but they believed. Our faith too is not based on signs and wonders but in the silent Presence of the Risen Lord, who comes among us, even in our 'running' from one moment into another. Silence is God's language. If we are open to the silent Presence of the Risen Lord among us - our lives will become an exciting discovery of God's Presence within our lives.
We are all in this mystery together in our journey of faith. The only way I can absent myself from this victory is to stand alone and apart!
Lord, may Your Resurrection fill me with a joy that overflows into love for all !
