Have you ever gotten lost because of some vague directions given by someone? Or gotten lost, even with the best of directions, given orally and written? Or gotten lost because of the GPS directing you here and there, and you were not able to gauge the distance when you should turn left or right?

In the Gospel reading, after Jesus had told His disciples not to let their hearts be troubled about the future (because He was going away, going to return, and going to take them with Him to His Father's house), He said, "You know the way to the place where I am going". That prompted Thomas to query Jesus by saying, "'Lord, we don't know where You are going, so how can we know the way?" In response to Thomas, Jesus replied, "'I AM the way .." What does that mean? It means through Jesus, we will know "the Way" - to the Father; to Truth, and to Life.

Therefore, Jesus could tell His disciples, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God still, and trust in Me."

Let us have faith. Let us continue to believe. In life, especially our life in Christ, we will never be 'lost' if we look to Jesus' life, words, and inspiration.
