"Why do you call me Lord, Lord and not do what I say?" Jesus is desperately trying to impress on our minds what is expected of us: not long hours of prayer but doing what is really necessary and urgent. Listening attentively to his voice, we are bound to hear the needs of those around us, family members, neighbours, people who call on us. By the time we attend to our daily calls for help, guidance etc. we may not have all the time for long hours of prayer, which we think should be our priority! When God took the trouble to come down to earth to share our lives, he left us the example of his life to follow: feeding the hungry, looking for the lost, receiving the sick and pardoning all.

He was always welcoming in every way. We preach the Gospel more by our way of living and loving than by our words. "Preach the Gospel at all times, if necessary, use words,"( St. Francis of Assisi).

Lord, may my life radiate Your love and kindness.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That our parishes, animated by a missionary spirit, may be places where faith is communicated and charity is seen.
