As we continue to celebrate Christ's resurrection, today's gospel reading records Jesus' conversation with a teacher of Israel on "heavenly things". Jesus was talking in the capacity of the Son of Man, who is born from above, born of the Spirit, and who has come down from heaven and therefore knows the things from above. Our faith tells us that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus has been raised from the dead and has become the mediator between the Father and us - God's adopted sons and daughters. Jesus helps us in this life and leads us to the Father.
How do we know that Easter is happening and that we are born from above? Our acts of love speak what we know and testify to what we have seen. Let us take a look at the Easter people in today's first reading. Members of the faith community showed their love for one another by giving selflessly and generously, trusting that their leaders would see to it that everybody's needs were answered. This was not mere philanthropy, but Christian love and solidarity for they were said to be "of one heart and mind."
Lord, without You we cannot be of one heart and mind. Help us to be united as we proclaim You as Christ our Saviour and testify to God's glory!

Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others.
