The message "breaking free from the shackles of religion" is often used by some rulers intending to reign over people. Many faithful followers of Jesus Christ have often confronted the ambitious projects and worldly ambitions of political leaders who scoff at religious seekers.
Nicodemus seeking Jesus at night symbolises those seeking clarification about God's promised reign over both heaven and earth. The Apostles raised their voices in prayer to the sovereign God for the boldness that comes from the Holy Spirit. The rulers conspire in the city against their faith community. The Psalmist proclaims about the son of God being empowered from on high reigning over the nations with justice and mercy. Indeed, the reign of God in our hearts gives us a big heart that is larger than the world.
Father, too often, we, Your children, feel insecure encountering those who wield earthly authority. Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, remind us who we are and whose we are. Do not let us be overwhelmed by those who are inimical towards us. Help us to stand boldly in Your power. Our confidence is in You, Lord.

DAILY OFFERING
|
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
