Today's Gospel teaches us how to trust. A farmer could sprinkle seeds, water them, put in fertiliser; but whether those seeds will grow or not, bear fruit or not is totally beyond the farmer's control.
In life, we can learn from this parable; how to trust and how to let go. We may prepare things and take the necessary steps to achieve our goals and dreams, but whether the thing will turn out to be as we expect or not is not in our control.
We, human beings, by nature, tend to control things, to make things happen according to our plan. However, when we lose control, when we do not know how to handle things, then we learn that we are limited, we are not the masters of everything.
To feel that we are limited may not be a bad thing, because that feeling will help us turn to someone who is the real Master, the Almighty. This turning to God is called humility. Humility will lead us to trust. The end of us is the more of God in us.
Lord, teach me how to trust You totally and completely, because only in You am I safe and sound.
