Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still and know that I am God". The children of Israel lament and there were times when even Moses lost hope. Those are the moments when we need to remain still. Easier said than done. Remaining still does not necessarily mean inaction. Sometimes it means just following the routine, the same rhythm that we were used to in times of consolation. Not that this routine can bring about a solution to our problem but it means that we place our trust in the Lord than in our actions.
This is what the children of Israel do, they keep marching on when the odds were mounting against them and then God works the miracle of miracles. God is waiting to work a similar miracle in our lives if only we trust in God and remain still - continuing with our usual rhythm of prayer and work.
Be with us Lord, when we are unsure, when our hearts, our mind and soul is not where it should be. We are vulnerable. We are weak. Mighty Lord, strengthen us and reassure us that we might hold on to you. And wait for you to work a new miracle. Amen

Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
