In the first Passover, the Israelites took an unblemished lamb, sacrificed it, put some of its blood on their doorpost, and ate the meat within the family. There was also a rule to celebrate this event annually. In a subsequent Passover, Jesus took bread and wine and pronounced that these were His Body and Blood, which were consumed during the Last Supper with His close disciples. There was also a call by Jesus to observe this event, and thus we celebrate the Eucharist daily.
Jesus is the new unblemished lamb who sacrificed Himself and spilled His blood on the wood of the cross the next day. But now, His disciples commemorate the same event in an unbloody manner by eating His Body in the form of bread and drinking His Blood in the form of wine.
Besides that, the new Passover also has the element of service when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and mandated us to do the same with each other. Let us be reminded of Jesus' words, "You call me Master and Lord, and rightly; so I am. If I, then, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you should wash each other's feet. I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you."
Jesus, Lamb of God, have mercy on me; Body of Christ, save me; Master, make me a servant like You.
