Humans need to know and understand how things work. We do not take kindly to unsolved mysteries or walk in the dark. Job had suffered mightily during the testing that Satan had laid upon him with God's permission.
He knew that he was innocent and steadfastly demanded to know why he suffered. When God finally spoke to Job, He put him in his place. These things were for God to know, not humans. They were far beyond Job - he could not see the 'big picture.' We are tested daily and do not always understand. But we walk in faith, knowing that a loving God walks with us and that in the end, all will be well. The seventy disciples returned from their mission excited, joyful, and rather proud of themselves. They had done well; even the demons were subject to them. Jesus warned them to be more consoled that their names were written in heaven than with their power. He proclaimed that He alone had received everything from the Father and could share it with whomever He pleased. Let us turn to Him for enlightenment and spiritual power rather than any other source. Lord enlighten me.
Lord, enlighten me.
