How do we navigate life if we cannot see the road ahead? Faith is the answer! Faith is not belief in doctrines or dogmas but absolute trust in God's goodness, kindness, and guidance.

This is the faith that enabled Abraham to leave his homeland and wander to an unknown destination, always trusting in God's promise to give him a homeland and descendants. Faith is like our inner spiritual GPS - to provide us with direction and purpose. It is a personal relationship with God.

That faith was lacking in the Apostles as their boat was tossed about in the storm. They were sure they would be shipwrecked and lost and were a bit irritated to see Jesus sleeping soundly. When they woke Him, He rebuked them for their lack of faith. Then He ordered the wind and the waves to cease, and they did. The amazed Apostles asked who it could be that even the wind and waves obeyed Him. The Old Testament gives us the answer in numerous places: God, who is always with us. Faith will always guide us through the storm and lead us home.

Lord, increase my faith.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
