We revisit two stories of restoration of hope to health and life. One is a woman with haemorrhage and the other is Jairus' daughter. What connects these two stories? Out of hopelessness into faith in Jesus.

Occasionally, we revisit the experience at the lowest point of our lives, where hope is almost lost. Like the experience of the woman who suffered from haemorrhage for twelve years, longing for healing but not finding a cure until she heard about Jesus. What comes to her mind? There is nothing to lose after such a long time of seeking, hence "If I just touch His cloak, I shall be healed". That simple gesture grants her the healing she has been looking for.

With Jairus' story, we understand his pain that his daughter is at the point of death. Yet he begged Jesus for the life of his daughter. Here, the hope a father has for his child is not lost. Jesus came immediately to save his daughter. The heart of our Lord is full of mercy and compassion. When He saw how desperate they were, He granted their deepest prayer.

We might experience situations when we cannot find the solution or the way out. Whenever we find ourselves losing hope, remember Jesus comes to restore our faith.

Lord Jesus, whenever life presses me down, give me the grace and faith to conquer my fear whenever I fall, and let me hear Your sweet voice saying, "My little child, get up." Amen.
