The Solemnity of All Saints' Day opens up a new horizon for us to conform our life to Jesus Christ. This explains the innumerable people in white robes before the throne of God envisioned by St John the Evangelist. They have lived through persecutions. Nothing has thwarted the love that God our Father has lavished upon them. John further insists that we are children of God. Saints are to be Christ-like. No rejection or loss of earthly life can destroy the image of a true child of light and love.

The Beatitudes in St Matthew are Jesus' exhortation towards the listening crowd and to the world. True blessings are not about successful enterprises or prosperous investments. It is about virtues refined by trials and grueling probations. The paradox in the beatitudes define the character of the saints in the face of trials.

The saints whom you are devoted to, have they impacted your life? If a saint fails to prompt you to a conversion of heart and conform to Christ, then your relationship with the saint is impaired. You might be treating saints as mere intercessors. The saints lead us to God. They are mirrors to our true happiness.

Dear Lord, You have lavished Your love upon us to charm us into a true relationship with You and Your saints, may we conform to that image mirrored by the Saints.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day jul be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
