Technological advancement broadens our accessibility to information. Yet, it limits our natural propensity to rely on our minds to recall and it reduces our efforts to perform simple tasks. Keen observers have repeatedly cautioned us that idle dependency may lead to regression, not new life. Artificial Intelligence, if left unchecked, can present itself as the artificial deity. Scripture offers an honest and truthful outlook to a new life in the Risen Jesus.
In the experience of the early Church community, they were sincere in proclaiming new life in the Resurrection. They did not hide the truth, unlike the High Priest, his cohorts and the Sadducees who were envious of the Apostles' boldness to proclaim the Resurrection of Jesus. Such honest effort will always be accompanied by divine intervention.
Jesus, the Light, has come into the world, but people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For, all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed. To Nicodemus, who came to see Jesus in the night, Jesus final words to him in their dialogue must have consoled him, "but the man who lives by the truth, comes out into the light, so that it may be plainly seen that what he does is done in God," It was a long dialogue, that as Nicodemus left Jesus, dawn had arrived. Nicodemus had experienced a transition from darkness to light.
Lord of Light, be kind to my sight to see new life today through You.
